D3.2 – Monetisation and Trading services – Alpha version

This document describes the alpha version of the PISTIS Market Exchange Platform, a system for trading and monetizing data.

The platform consists of several components that enable data providers to value their data, find interested buyers, and securely conduct transactions using blockchain technology.

Here’s a breakdown of the key functionalities, detailed in the deliverable 3.2:

  • Data Discovery: Users can explore and discover datasets available on the platform. The Matchmaking Service recommends datasets based on past searches and transactions.
  • Data Monetization: This bundle allows data providers to understand the value of their data and sell it through various methods:
    • Asset Description Bundler: Creates a detailed description of the data asset.
    • FAIR Data Valuation Service: Provides methods to assign a quantitative value to the data.
    • Digital DLT-FIAT Wallet: Manages secure financial transactions on the platform.
    • Data Investment Planner: Helps design an investment plan for a specific dataset.
    • PISTIS Market Insights: Offers insights into marketplace transactions.
    • NFT Generator: Creates a unique non-fungible token (NFT) for each dataset.
    • Monetization Plan Designer: Allows specifying how data will be monetized.
    • Data Usage and Intentions Analytics: Analyzes the intentions of data owners and users.
  • Ledgers: These components store information about data and financial transactions:
    • PISTIS Data Ledger: Stores metadata of datasets and related transactions.
    • PISTIS Monetary Ledger: Stores financial information of transactions.
  • Transaction Services: This bundle manages creating, executing, and validating transactions using smart contracts:
    • On/Off Platform Contract Inspector: Ensures transactions comply with dataset license rules.
    • Transaction Auditor: Monitors the validity of transactions.
    • Smart Contract Template Composer: Creates smart contract code based on pre-defined templates.
    • Smart Contract Execution Engine: Executes smart contracts for data transactions.
    • Data Factory User Wallet: Securely manages user identities and credentials.

This deliverable provides an overview of the alpha version and serves as a foundation for the development of the beta release. You can find the components’ code in the project’s GitHub repository.
